One of the primary missions of the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) is to lighten the financial burden of cancer for eligible patients in Metro Atlanta. Each year, thousands of people in our region are diagnosed with cancer; for many of them, the diagnosis results in a devastating financial impact. The costs of tests, surgeries, treatments and medications add up quickly. For some, these costs are compounded by lost wages during treatment. Meanwhile, the stress of dealing with finances can make it difficult for patients and their families to focus on recovery.

ACCF’s emergency financial assistance grants have helped many hundreds of cancer patients in Metro Atlanta who were experiencing financial hardship. These grants have enabled patients to stay in their homes; keep their lights and heat on; purchase necessary medications; and have reliable transportation to treatments. ACCF also provides funding for professional and public education regarding cancer related issues, and for cancer research.
